GINA FLAHERTY, Owner, Director, Instructor of Gina's Studio

Gina’s passion for dance and fitness is clearly visible when she teaches and shares her love of dance with others.  Her classes offer an encouraging and positive atmosphere where students of all ages and abilities thrive. Gina’s depth of dance knowledge and breadth of experience enable her to bring a variety of dance elements to her classes so that everyone feels energized, engaged and inspired.  Gina loves seeing her students take pride in their achievements in class and support each other both on and off of the dance floor. 

 

Gina began her formal dance education and training in 1975 under a number of the area’s leading dance instructors.  Her formal dance training began with Ballet, Tap, Jazz and Hip-Hop, and she continually attends master classes, fitness workshops and dance conventions. She also enjoys choreographing for many dance troupes, dance schools and musical theatre programs in the Boston area.  She has now expanded her solid dance and fitness foundation to teach Zumba Basic 1, Zumba Basic 2, Zumbatomic (a Zumba program just for kids), and Zumba Toning, striking a healthy balance between the beauty of dance and the hard work of fitness that results in a sense of joy and accomplishment.  Off the dance floor, her greatest joy is being a mom and watching her son and daughter grow up and experience life!
